When I pointed this out on Jez, one of the commenters said that I clearly hadn't read the first point of the Objectification link. My response;
You mean that nonsense about how it's okay to objectify men because they have advantages in other areas? What of it? I heard a similar rationale about the Duke Rape Case; "oh, it's okay that those three men were accused of rape for a year because they're rich and white and so they weren't really affected."
And then, curiously, just about every single feminist blog stopped talking about the matter entirely, even after the accuser wrote a book, abused her kids, and, North Carolina alleges, killed her boyfriend.
