the lens flare is out today

Yesterday, the sky was overcast and we were under a hurricane warning. Hanna was projected to skirt the north of our archipelago, and my workplace did a brisk trade in radios and corded phones accordingly, finally closing an hour early after my boss realized that we were pretty much the only retail stores open in the mall. He dropped me home, both of us confident that the mall would remain closed.
