Disney had Middle Eastern, Native American, Asian, and even Hawaiian lead female characters before they had a Black Disney Princess.

What was that about them not being diverse?

I was disappointed years after watching Aladdin when I realised that Jasmine should have been the 'Sultana', rather than 'Queen'. It would have been great to hear her say 'When I am Sultana I will have the power to get rid of you." But I guess I understand why they modified that bit.

Hm. So she was Middle-Eastern, but was she Middle-Eastern enough???
