If there are people on the other side of a controversial issue from you, you guys are not going to endear your position to them by wearing t-shirts in a march telling the other people to "get over it". Disregarding their opinions entirely is not the way to tolerance and understanding. Furthermore, telling your opponents what they should and should not like is effectively the same thing you complain about them doing to you.

Just because you think you're right doesn't mean you get to be dicks about it.
