mcityRemember the fanfic I mentioned earlier? There was a payoff to the setup; Jane boss-let's call her Susan-happened to see Jane in a latex-like catsuit, and had what TV Tropes calls a Stupid Sexy Flanders moment. "Fine," says Sue, "I guess I'm a lesbian." Jane happens to be in the hall outside Sue's office, and a third character swears she hears Jane squeal.
Sloppy setup. Good joke.
Incidentally, this takes place in an AU. In-canon, Sue is romantically involved with the lead's widower father. Since, in this AU, the lead's mum never died, they're still happily married, and that leaves Susan unattached—oh, clever girl.
