More here.
I scanned this at 150 dpito get all the crunchy goodnessand spent almost five minutes trying to figure out how to get it down to life-size. Standard screen resolution, assuming you're using the little box in front of you in the proper fashion, is usually 72 dpi. I know what you're thinking; just reduce height and width by 50%. WRONG. Okay, 66.6%. ALSO WRONG. I spend a few minutes considering it, then plugged "square root of 2" into Google. Then I plugged in "(square root of 2)^-1" to get the answer I wanted, and resized the image to 71%, roughly life-sized.
And to think, I became an art major so I wouldn't have to do math.
