1. Holy crap.


2. This movie came about when people balked at Blomkamp helming the =Halo= movie, even with Peter Jackson's blessing. Jackson basically gave Blomkamp 30 million. By Hllywood standards, that's a small budget. So what you have is a talented director who's good at CG working with the full backup of WETA Digital.


3. Holy crap.


4. Depending on what website you're visiting, you may find people whining about how the film wasted it's "potential". This is generally what people say when they didn't like something popular, but don't want to be flamed. It's also used to screen the fact that they planned to hate it going in(see: Michael Bay's Transformers)
