I like how he seems nigh-incapable of understanding the idea that he might be in the wrong, or that he could be honestly judged and found wanting. Explains a lot.

It reminds me of a...thing. Thingy. The one where a person confronted with a situation where their usual response won't work goes through anger, bluff, bargaining, denial then acceptance as reactions...something like that. I wish I could remember the name of it.

Of course, he skips back into anger/bluff again at the end so it's not perfect but yeah. Not a sterling example of humanity.

>anger, bluff, bargaining, denial then acceptance

Those look roughly like the Kubler-Ross stages of grief, but in this context it seems more like the stages of being a dick.

Yeah, while I was writing that I was thinking 'like the stages of grief but...not'. Maybe this sequence of reactions doesn't have a formal name, but I wouldn't bet on it.

2011 does seem to have been the year of The Internet vs The Asshats. And the Asshats losing almost every game.

Why, this very moment, I believe GoDaddy are still losing.

w00t.

Good call.

The Internet: The general public online, who tend to lurk, or at least bitch amongst themselves in relative privacy of their own small corners, be they asshats or just a bit annoying.

The Asshats: The professional, true asshats.
