I believe I've just reached the point-and it inevitably comes when I attempt a painterly style-that I realize I have no idea what I'm doing, it looks like crap, and I'm not sure what to do next. This inevitably comes with the realization that I knew what I was doing at some point, but not anymore, and I've been overthinking it for a while now.

And now you know why I find writing easier.

There was a textbook in high school that posits a scenario when your house is on fire, and you can save your elderly, wheelchair-bound father, or the unconscious guy who has the cure to one of the worlds worst diseases in his head. You only have enough time to save one. Which do you choose?

I first read this from by older brother's textbook at around age ten, and it took me maybe thirty seconds before I figured out that if I'm strong enough to carry the scientist, I'm strong enough to dump him on dad's lap and push them both out of there.
