I just saw an ad for a play featuring John Barrowman.

It's Aladdin.

Aside from my amusement over Barrowman's rather loud outfit-puffy white shirt, orange-ish vest-I am also amused over the contrast between American acting and British acting. Americans are analog: the star of a successful TV show who went to what seems to be a family, kid-friendly play would often be considered to be going down a "tier". British acting, since the market is so small, is binary: you are either acting, or you're not.

(Seriously, I did not know Barrowman was from here in Glasgow, and worked extensively on the stage. Thanks, Wikipedia!)
